Why We'll Always Be Cruelty-Free

When we started Azhal Beauty, one of our first decisions — before we had products, before we had a logo — was that we would never test on animals. This wasn't a marketing choice. It was a values choice. And it's one we'll never reverse.

What Cruelty-Free Actually Means

For Azhal, cruelty-free means: we do not conduct animal testing on any products or ingredients. We do not commission third parties to test on our behalf. And we do not sell in markets where animal testing is legally required for imported cosmetics.

Our Three Non-Negotiables

• No animal testing — ever, at any stage of development
• No third-party testing — we audit every supplier
• No selling in markets that legally require animal testing

Every product we make is a statement. Beauty should never come at the cost of suffering — that's not a compromise we're willing to make.

The Alternatives Are Better Anyway

Modern in-vitro and in-silico testing methods are not just more ethical — they're often more predictive of human outcomes than animal studies. The EU banned animal testing for cosmetics in 2013. The science has moved on.

Our Supplier Standards

Every ingredient supplier we work with must certify that they do not conduct or commission animal testing. We audit this regularly. If a supplier can't meet our standard, we find one who can — even if it costs more.

What's Next

Our next milestone is full vegan certification — eliminating all animal-derived ingredients from our formulas. We're aiming to have our full product range vegan-certified by end of 2026.
